AIA Private Health Cover and AIA Private Health Plus
The combined maximum cover for the Treatment Away from Home in New Zealand benefit and the Parent Accommodation benefit is a total of $3,000 per life assured per policy year , with a daily sub-limit of $300 for accommodation costs across both benefits. If a treatment covered by one of the other benefits of this policy is not available within 100km of your home or usual place of residence, AIA will pay up to the maximum cover for this benefit of transport and accommodation for the life assured to travel to obtain that treatment and/or a support person to accompany them. No excess is payable for any claims under this benefit.
TREATMENT AWAY FROM HOME IN NEW ZEALAND
Covers the cost for accommodation expenses incurred by a parent accompanying a child who is listed on the schedule . The child must be undergoing medical treatment in an approved facility in New Zealand. No excess is payable for any claims under this benefit.
PARENT ACCOMMODATION BENEFIT
Covers the costs of ambulance transfer expenses incurred by the life assured for emergency transportation to or from hospital within New Zealand. This Benefit is not payable in respect of any ambulance transfers provided for either personal or social reasons, or where the associated costs would be covered by ACC or any other benefit provision under this policy. No excess is payable for any claims under this benefit.
