11 Will my activity count if I am travelling overseas? If you are travelling abroad, there are various countries known for malicious traffic used to attack online platforms, where you will not be able to access your AIA Vitality app. Please continue to track your physical activity data during this time, and when you return to New Zealand, you will need to sync your data to your AIA Vitality membership. AIA Vitality will process 30 days of data for Fitbit and Garmin devices, and 14 days of data from Strava, Apple Health, Samsung Health and Google Fit. Please note: If your synced data falls outside the activity week or monitoring period, you will still receive the AIA Vitality Points, but you will not receive your Active Reward or Apple Watch Benefit contribution for that week. What is the Apple Watch Benefit? The Apple Watch Benefit is available through AIA Vitality and can be activated once every 24 months for Apple iOS users. When you activate the Apple Watch Benefit, you can apply for a 24‑month loan with the Apple Watch Benefit loan provider for the value of an Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS) ($749). If your loan is approved, you will need to pay a $125 initial deposit as the first upfront payment on your total loan amount. You’ll then receive a $749 Apple Store Gift Card code in your AIA Vitality app. You use this Apple Store Gift Card code to purchase your Apple Watch from the online Apple Store. Once your watch arrives, simply pair it with the AIA Vitality app so your weekly physical activity targets can sync and earn AIA Vitality Points. While the Apple Watch Benefit is active, your weekly physical activity targets will no longer earn $5 Active Rewards. Instead, they earn Apple Watch Benefit Rewards. The Apple Watch Benefit Rewards earned automatically go toward your monthly loan repayment, reducing what you need to pay that month. You’re still responsible for your loan and must pay any portion not covered by the Apple Watch Benefit Rewards earned if you miss a weekly physical activity target.

2 What are Apple Watch Benefit Rewards?

Apple Watch Benefit Rewards are a dollar amount equivalent to the value of a loan repayment due to the Apple Watch Benefit loan provider, by week. Apple Watch Benefit Rewards are earned by hitting your weekly physical activity targets. Apple Watch Benefit Rewards reduce your Apple Watch Benefit loan repayments. Each week you hit your physical activity target in the AIA Vitality app; you earn an Apple Watch Benefit Reward. At the end of the month, AIA Vitality pays the total Apple Watch Benefit Rewards you’ve earned directly to your Apple Watch Benefit loan provider as a co-contribution. This reduces the amount you need to repay on your loan for that month. If you meet all physical activity targets in a month and earn all available Apple Watch Benefit Rewards, AIA Vitality will pay these to the Apple Watch Benefit loan provider, and you will not need to co-contribute to your loan repayment that month. While your Apple Watch Benefit is active, you will not earn your $5 Active Rewards for meeting your weekly Target. Instead, you’ll earn weekly Apple Watch Benefit Rewards.

3 How do I purchase my Apple Watch?

Once your loan is approved and you have paid the $125 initial deposit, your Apple Store Gift Card code will be available in the AIA Vitality App. There will be a link to go through the online Apple New Zealand Store where you can use your Apple Store Gift Card code to purchase an Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS) Aluminium 42-mm. If you want to upgrade or purchase additional features, you will be responsible for paying any additional costs above the value of the Apple Store Gift Card code. We recommend you purchase your Apple Watch within two weeks of receiving the Apple Store Gift Card code to assist you with tracking your physical activity, as this can convert into Apple Watch Benefit Rewards which contribute towards your monthly loan repayments with the Apple Watch Benefit loan provider. 4 If I earn all available Apple Watch Benefit Rewards each month, how long will it take for the loan to be paid off? If you earn all available Apple Watch Benefit Rewards each month, your loan will take 24 months to pay off. 5 Can I pause my Apple Watch Benefit? No, you are unable to pause your Apple Watch Benefit with AIA Vitality or your loan with Glow.
