PRIORITIES & PROGRESS: HEALTH & WELLBEING | SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT | SUSTAINABLE OPERATIONS | PEOPLE & CULTURE | EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE

External recognition and awards In September we were awarded the Corporate Talent Team of the Year at the 2024 Internal Talent Awards. The Internal Talent Awards recognise talented internal recruitment teams and leaders across both Aoteroa New Zealand and Australia. In October we were awarded ‘Most Diverse Insurance Companies in Australia and NZ | 5-Star DE&I Initiatives’ by Insurance Business. The award celebrates the most progressive insurance companies in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, a group of forward- thinking organisations that have embedded diversity, equity and inclusion into their corporate culture.

Whai Ora progress At AIA NZ, we’re committed to helping New Zealanders live

financial wellbeing discussions, and exercise classes. The day was also a great opportunity for our employee network groups to showcase their meaningful work and recruit new members. In 2024 we have continued to roll out the Group-initiated Me@AIA for Managers programme, which focuses on the importance of self- care, understanding stress, mental health and wellbeing at work, and the role leaders play in cultivating a safe environment where their team members can thrive. As an extension of Me@AIA for Managers, we partnered with an external organisation called BlueSkyMinds to deliver Lead Well Conversation workshops, which aim to deepen our leaders’ ability

to have meaningful wellbeing conversations with their team members. Our strong focus on the Lead Well pillar has contributed to a positive shift in our employee engagement survey between 2023 and 2024. Strategic Workforce Planning The strategic workforce planning project is critical in supporting AIA NZ to ensure we have a future fit workforce. Commencing in late 2023 and starting with our largest division, the aim was to encompass all divisions over the next two years.

Healthier, Longer, Better Lives – and where better to demonstrate action than with our own employees. In 2022, we created our employee wellbeing strategy and programme, Whai Ora – meaning to strive for health, vitality and life. Our goal with Whai Ora is to create an environment where our people can thrive and feel they belong. Our Whai Ora vision is ‘Living Healthier, Longer, Better Lives together at AIA’. Whai Ora has four pillars – Lead Well, Work Well, Connect Well and Live Well. Each has its own strategic objectives and offers a range of initiatives so our people can choose what they engage in depending on their personal wellbeing journey. In 2024, our people participated in, on average, six wellbeing activities. We continue to partner with ASB to provide our people with the opportunity to learn about ways to better their financial wellbeing, including the ability to book a 1:1 financial wellbeing review with an ASB Specialist. In 2024, ASB facilitated two bespoke sessions for our people, one in March on avoiding scams and fraud, and another in September on share trading and investments. In August 2024, we held our third Whai Ora Day. This employee wellbeing expo included hosting a range of wellbeing partners onsite to showcase their products and facilitate activities including health checks, strength and balance tests,
